The Gretsch G5655T-QM Electromatic Series semi-acoustic delivers full and sparkling hollow-body-sound, just bigger, fatter and louder. A little more attainable than its larger siblings, this edition of the Center Block Jr. Single-Cut still features the more deluxe look of a quilted maple top, back and sides, while the compact body-shape and Thin-U profile of the set-in maple neck brings the feel closer to that of a solid body, and the 12 inch fretboard radius and set of twenty-two medium frets keep the playability familiar and controlled.
The Gretsch G5655T-QM: Extreme Dynamics & Extra Sustain
Tight, high-definition sound, free of unwanted feedback and framed by an excellent dynamic response is assured by the spruce centreblock and mounted pair of Black Top Broad’Tron humbucking pickups. Scroll through the elastic, broad tonal range this semi-acoustic has to offer via the standard-issue set of controls and enjoy the light bite added by the fitted treble bleed circuit; the extended sustain provided by the Graph Tech NuBone nut; and the refined vibrato action of the Bigsby-Licensed B70 tailpiece planted behind the stable Anchored Adjust-O-Matic bridge.
